Fine hand crafted concert-quality guitars - Double Top, Traditional, Flamenco

Holtier guitars are built, using the best quality materials in a balanced combination of traditional and new methods. All of the effort is dedicated to creating a guitar that is responsive, has excellent projection and tonal quality, and is comfortable to play.

Great attention is also placed on the aesthetic aspect of the instrument, where elegance, simplicity and the natural beauty of the materials chosen are preferable to exaggerated ornamentation.

CONCERT (Traditional and DoubleTop): Alfthough Holtier does not copy any luthier or instrument, his guitars are inspired by the masters of Spanish, German and French luthery. The concert model is a farily lightly constructed guitar. Characteristic of this model is it's great projection, balance, and warmth.

With the introdcution of Gernot Wagner and Matthias Dammann double top technology (composite laminated soundboards), the classical guitar experienced a dramatic improvement in power and responsiveness. More than twenty years later, the technology has gained acceptance and beside many luthiers, Holtier brings his experience to this field.

Holtier offers a version of this guitar technology (using Nomex ® as a core for lamination of the two wood skins) in cedar or spruce. Combinations of spruce and cedar for the inside and outside of the tops are available.

Concert model (Traditional and Double Top) comes in East Indian rosewood back and sides, spruce or cedar top, ebony fingerboard, high-quality Sloane tuning machines and "Magister" finish.

FLAMENCO (concert): built in the traditional Spanish style, with a wide dynamic range, this model is very light, yet powerful. Read review.

Spanish cypress, back and sides, choice of spruce or cedar top, ebony fingerboard, high-quality Sloane machines, "Magister" finish come standard with this model. On request, at no additional cost, tuning pegs can be substituted for machines.

CONSERVATORIO: This model has the same high-quality construction, materials and tonal quality as the concert models, but with simpler physical ornamentation. For this reason, I can make it at a more affordable price. It is made in the traditional style (solid top).
